Throw Back Thursday: Accryl (Sweden)

Accryl were a short‑lived heavy metal band from Falkenberg, Halland, formed in 1982 and active through the mid‑80s. Built around the core of bassist Hasse Petersson, vocalist/guitarist Kenneth Syrén, drummer Anders Jansson and guitarist Anders Lindekrantz, the group later expanded with guitarist Fredric Johansson. Accryl recorded several demos and gained wider visibility with their contribution “Victim in Chains” to The Metal Collection Vol. I in 1986, as well as a four‑way split 7″ with Union, Bronx and Blizzard the same year. Known locally for their energetic, hard‑driving style, they also produced a promo video for their track “Rock” before eventually splitting up. In 2026 a 1985-86 compilation was released by Lost Jewels Records. The album features 8 tracks which includes their 1985 demo and 3 bonus tracks.
