Updated April 2026

TheNwothm.com is your ultimate destination for everything connected to the New Wave of Traditional Heavy Metal movement. We bring you the latest news, reviews, exclusive interviews and much more, all with one purpose: to celebrate and elevate this vibrant genre. I’m Rob, and I launched the site at the beginning of 2023 with a clear goal to shine a spotlight on Nwothm bands from every corner of the globe. We are on the hunt for new team members to write for us!

Our dedicated team of writers powers everything you see here. They live and breathe Nwothm, and their passion shapes the heart of this site. We are a small but fiercely committed group, united by a shared love for the genre and a drive to spread the word. We are now looking for voluntary contributors who share that same energy. Join us, help amplify the voices of incredible bands and become part of a growing community of like‑minded enthusiasts.

If you have any questions about contributing, feel free to get in touch. I am always happy to help.

Write For Us – Terms and conditions

Contributor property:

You retain full ownership of any contributions you submit to thenwothm.com. Once your work appears on the site, you agree not to publish the same content on any other platform. Feel free to share links to your published work on social media. It helps promote both you and the site, and I strongly encourage it.

Voluntary role:

While the site encourages donations to help cover its costs, this is a voluntary position, and no monetary compensation will be provided to contributors in exchange for the content they submit. As much as I would like to offer compensation, it is simply not possible at this time.

BEHAVIOUR AND CONDUCT:

The site does not tolerate homophobia, sexism, racism, the promotion of extreme political views, hate crimes, harassment, discriminatory behaviour or bullying. If you engage in any of these behaviours on the site or in connection with thenwothm.com, your role as a contributor will end immediately.

UPHOLDING REPUTATION:

As a contributor to TheNwothm.com, you agree to protect and strengthen the platform’s reputation. All promotion and discussion must remain positive, respectful and constructive. Any behaviour that risks damaging the site’s image may result in immediate removal from your role. This responsibility continues even after you step down.

Writer Knowledge:

You should have a basic understanding of WordPress and be able to format your content correctly. You will write and edit your own work, and all submissions will enter a review queue to ensure quality and relevance. Occasional grammatical or formatting errors are expected, and your content will be checked before publication. Training resources and templates are available, and you should review previous posts to understand the correct style and structure.

TIMEFRAMES FOR SUBMISSIONS:

Writers must submit their work within the agreed timeframe. The music industry moves quickly, so timely submissions are essential for relevance. For example, reviews of past events from the previous year will not be used. Meeting deadlines for releases and events is crucial.

CONFIDENTIALITY OF MUSIC:

Labels may provide confidential or watermarked material for review purposes. You are responsible for protecting all promotional content. Do not share or use this material for anything other than creating your review. This requirement is extremely important and must be followed at all times.

COMMUNICATION:

We use Slack for regular communication, which helps me track the progress of your work. If personal matters arise or anything prevents you from completing an assignment, let me know as soon as possible so it can be reassigned. Clear and consistent communication is essential. Failure to maintain this may result in the termination of your role.

The terms above are subject to change. These terms may change at any time. This includes revisions, additions or removals. You will be notified of any updates.
