Finnish heavy/doom metal stalwarts Cardinals Folly have unveiled the complete stream of their upcoming studio album, “Let The Posers Fall!“, ahead of its official release through Cruz Del Sur Music.
Early reactions have already been overwhelmingly positive. Critics have praised the album’s powerful blend of traditional heavy metal and crushing doom, highlighting both its memorable songwriting and distinctive atmosphere. Reviewers have described the release as an essential listen for devotees of classic, uncompromising underground metal.
Available on vinyl, CD, and digital formats, “Let The Posers Fall” sees Cardinals Folly entering a fresh era with the introduction of a new guitarist. While remaining firmly rooted in the band’s trademark doom-infused sound, the album places greater emphasis on traditional heavy metal influences, delivering a sharper and more riff-driven approach than previous outings.
The album’s lyrical themes explore a range of unsettling and macabre subjects. From infamous criminal figures and cosmic horror to cult cinema and exploitation films, the songs draw inspiration from some of the darker corners of popular culture. Tracks such as “I Am The Zodiac”, “Providence”, “New York Ripper”, and “Hitch-Hike” showcase the band’s fascination with horror, mystery, and the occult.
Speaking about the release, the band reaffirmed their commitment to authenticity and underground metal ideals, presenting “Let The Posers Fall!” as a declaration of defiance against passing trends and superficiality.
