Welcome Back To TheNwothm.com

A return and a rebuild

Welcome back to TheNwothm.com, we’re genuinely glad you’re here. The past few months brought changes we didn’t anticipate: some cherished members of our team moved on to other paths, and personal circumstances in our own lives made it clear that we had to hit pause. That break was necessary; time to reflect, reset, and be honest about what we want TheNwothm.com to be going forward. Out of that pause came an opportunity we’d been putting off for too long: rebuilding TheNwothm.com from the ground up. Instead of waiting for things to “go back to normal,” we redesigned the site, streamlined our approach, and created a platform that feels new while staying true to everything this community stands for.

This rebuild isn’t just a cosmetic upgrade; it’s a commitment to moving forward with intention. TheNwothm.com is now focused on highlighting what we do: news, reviews, interviews, and meaningful coverage of the heavy music scene. We’re here to celebrate, challenge, and amplify the voices and stories that matter in heavy music, and the way we pursue that mission is now clearer and more deliberate.

Our editorial focus going forward

We’re taking a more intentional, no-filler approach to TheNwothm: focusing on news, reviews, interviews, and features that genuinely excite us and feel real to the heavy music community, publishing a few times a week so each piece gets the time and attention it needs to be sharp, honest, and worth your time.

What’s new on the site

One of the main developments coming out of the rebuild is a stronger focus on live music and real-world connection, so the site doesn’t just talk about the heavy music scene, it helps you live it. To support that, we’ve introduced a dedicated Events page where bands and promoters can submit shows directly to TheNwothm.com, while fans have a welcoming hub to explore everything from intimate local gigs to major festival afterparties.

Alongside the Events page, our continuously updated Heavy Metal Festivals A–Z directory supports discovery of heavy music festivals around the world, whether you’re interested in long-running multi-day gatherings or newer regional events. With our Insta Live page, you can also follow the TheNwothm Instagram live feed for behind-the-scenes moments, festival snapshots, and live performances as they happen, bringing the community closer to the music in real time.

Looking ahead

What you’re reading now is the first phase of the rebuild, and we’re genuinely pleased to have it out in the world. During this phase, we’ll keep fine-tuning the site, including doing what we can to improve how it looks and works. We are also planning to spend time on mobile and tablet versions, within the limits of what we currently know. There may be a few rough edges while we find our rhythm again, so thanks for bearing with us.

Phase two is already taking shape, with several features currently in development that we’re excited to explore. A shop has been on the back burner for far too long, and it’s something we want to get right—both as a way to support the site and as a potential avenue to help amplify the bands and artists we cover. Beyond that, we’re working on additional features that might benefit the community in meaningful ways, though we’re being thoughtful about what actually makes sense to build.

Ways you can get involved

If you’re in a band and you have news, new music, an upcoming release, or anything else you’d like us to take a look at, feel free to get in touch. We genuinely enjoy hearing from artists directly, and if you’d like to be considered for an interview, we’re always open to those conversations too. We can’t cover everything, but we do read what comes in.

Labels, PR teams, and other industry contacts are equally welcome to reach out. We’d like to build more working relationships so we can cover a wider range of bands and releases, particularly those that might not always get the attention they deserve. If you think there’s a fit, drop us a message and we’ll take it from there.

We’re also looking for new writers to help grow the team, and we’re especially keen to hear from people across the UK and Europe. Having more contributors in those regions helps close time-zone gaps with our largely US-based team, keeps the flow of content steadier and adds broader representation and perspectives to our coverage. If you have a genuine passion for heavy metal music and some experience writing about it, we’d be glad to hear from you via our Write For Us page.

Finally, if you spot an error on the site — a wrong date, a misspelled name, a broken link, or anything else that doesn’t look right — please let us know. The same goes for suggestions about how the site could work better or what we could be doing more of. We’re always trying to improve, and honest feedback from readers is one of the best ways we can do that.
