Jawbreaker have just dropped some new releases and so we are highlighting two of them. The vinyl edition of Hunger – “Ruler of the Wolves” and the third cd edition of Palantyr – “The Ascent and The Hunger.”
Hunger – “Ruler of the Wolves“
Together with Underground Highers (UGH), we are proud to present the vinyl edition of Hunger’s debut EP “Ruler of the Wolves.”
The release carries a haunted, cursed atmosphere shaped by the mid‑1980s heavy metal tradition. Hunger combines razor‑sharp riffs with fierce, high‑energy vocals, creating heavy and speed metal with a clear sense of identity. This is underground metal made by true devotees for listeners who want the real thing.
If you enjoy gritty and honest heavy or speed metal with commanding vocals and memorable guitar work, you will find plenty to appreciate here. Think Stormwitch, Warlock, Atlain, Vectom, Omen, Stormwind or Running Wild. The EP also features a guest appearance from Aitor Navarro, formerly of Hitten, along with a cover of the rarely revisited Stormwitch track “Beware the Demons.”
Limited pressing information:
- Black Vinyl, 400 copies
- Oxblood Swirl Vinyl, 100 copies, exclusive to Jawbreaker Records
- Oxblood Marble Vinyl, 100 copies, exclusive to the band
