Jawbreaker Records confirm the forthcoming arrival of “Messe De Fer”, the debut full‑length album from Québec speed metal force Meurtrier, set for release on the 25th of September 2026.

Formed in Québec City in 2023, Meurtrier bring together long‑standing figures from the Québec and Montréal underground scenes with a clear mission: to channel the ferocity of classic heavy and speed metal through a distinctly French‑Canadian identity. Their approach draws heavily on the untamed energy of mid‑eighties European and American metal, resulting in a sound built on biting riffs, driving rhythms and evocative melodies, all delivered through French‑language lyrics steeped in occult imagery and heroic scale.

Following their 2024 demo on Jawbreaker Records, the band return with a refreshed line‑up, sharpened visual aesthetic and their first full album. “Messe De Fer” presents Meurtrier at full strength, with William Verrault and Martin Paquet on guitars, Anthony Verrault on vocals, Jeff Tremblay on bass and Fred Tremblay on drums. Together they form a five‑piece committed to the raw steel and uncompromising intensity of traditional heavy metal.

Though still early in their live career, Meurtrier have already earned attention for performances marked by speed, force and atmosphere, driven by the band’s momentum and Tony Verrault’s commanding presence. Their shows capture the essence of pure heavy metal aggression, leaving audiences suspended between darkness, velocity and fire.
