Doro And Universal Announce Reissue Of “Doro – Live”

A defining moment in Doro’s career is returning to the shelves. Universal and Doro have confirmed a new reissue of “Doro – Live”, the celebrated release that captured her ascent as one of heavy metal’s most recognisable voices. Long unavailable, the album will once again be accessible to fans worldwide from the 3rd of July 2026 on CD, DVD and picture vinyl.

Originally issued in 1993, “Live” documents Doro Pesch during her “Angels Never Die” tour, a period that showcased her commanding stage presence and unmistakable vocal identity. The audio recordings highlight the energy of her early solo years, while the video material, filmed at concerts in Hamburg and Cologne, has been carefully remastered for this new DVD edition.

Doro first rose to international prominence in the 1980s as the frontwoman of Warlock. Albums such as “Burning the Witches” (1984), “Hellbound” (1985), “True As Steel” (1986) and “Triumph and Agony” (1987) brought the band global attention. Tracks including “All We Are” and “Für Immer” became enduring favourites, helping Warlock break new ground as one of the first German metal acts to tour internationally and reach the United States.

Her authenticity, connection with audiences and distinctive voice quickly established Doro as a leading figure in a male‑dominated genre. In 1986 she became the first woman to perform on stage at the renowned Monsters of Rock festivals, further cementing her status as a trailblazer.

“Live” brings together Warlock classics and early solo material, reflecting the qualities that have defined her career and the strong bond she maintains with her fans.

Across her decades in music, Doro has received numerous honours. In 2022 she was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award, adding to earlier accolades including an Echo (1994), the Metal Goddess Legend Award in Las Vegas, the Legend Award in both England and Germany, the Angel of Rock Award in England and several other distinctions. She has also been voted “sexiest woman alive”, a testament to her lasting cultural impact and her continued recognition as the Metal Queen.

The 2026 edition of “Live” will be released on Doro’s own label, Rare Diamonds Productions, available as a CD/DVD digipack and as a CD in a jewel case. Universal will also issue a strictly limited picture vinyl edition featuring liner notes written by Doro herself. A portion of the 500‑copy run will include a hand‑signed art print.
