Iron Kingdom Shadows And Dust Announced With New Single “Defenders”

2–3 minutes

Iron Kingdom new album coming soon

“Shadows and Dust” leads the latest announcement from Vancouver’s traditional heavy metal force IRON KINGDOM, who have unveiled their new single “Defenders” alongside full details of their sixth studio album. The introduction of the key track marks the beginning of a major new chapter for the band, who continue to champion classic heavy metal with power, precision and emotional depth.

“Defenders” is the first song to be released from “Shadows and Dust,” arriving with a full music video. The track draws inspiration from the Battle of Gdansk and honours the Polish soldiers who resisted invasion for seven days. Vocalist and guitarist Chris Osterman has a personal connection to the story through his family history, which adds emotional weight to the song’s fast, melodic and urgent character.

Artwork And Album Editions

The artwork for Iron Kingdom Shadows and Dust was created by Alan Lathwell and inspired by the track “Blood and Steel” and the Malazan Book of the Fallen series. It depicts an army marching through a harsh landscape, symbolising endurance and determination.

Steel Shark Records will release an exclusive EU double CD limited to 300 copies. Disc one contains the full album, while disc two features a curated best of collection from the band’s previous five releases. A third vinyl colour, limited to 100 copies, will also be available for EU fans.
