Sons Of Cult return this autumn with a new chapter in their ascent through the world of traditional heavy metal. Formed in 2020, the Spanish band made an instant impact with their debut album “Back To The Beginning” in 2023, a record that resonated deeply with listeners who hold classic heavy metal close to their hearts. After the follow‑up EPs “24s Desolation” and “Live From Groove”, the band now step forward with their second full‑length album, “Revenge” – a statement of intent that reinforces everything they stand for.

“Revenge” builds upon the foundations laid by “Back To The Beginning”, sharpening the band’s identity while remaining steadfast in its devotion to pure heavy metal. There are no diversions into modern trends, no nods to extreme subgenres, and no concessions to contemporary production fashions. Instead, Sons Of Cult present an album that stands proudly on its own terms, rooted in tradition and driven by conviction.
The record opens with “Steel Miles”, a track that immediately raises the band’s banner high. Its atmospheric guitar lines and commanding vocal performance from new singer Maria J. Lladó set the tone for the album. Maria steps into the role previously held by Jaume Vilanova, bringing a fresh dimension to the band’s sound while honouring the spirit of their earlier work.
Following “Steel Miles” comes the album’s first single, “Our Heroes Never Die”. It is a powerful tribute to the icons who shaped the genre, delivered with heartfelt sincerity and destined to become a live favourite. With soaring melodies, vibrant riffs and standout solos, the song proudly displays its influences while adding the band’s own unmistakable character.
Across the album, each track contributes to a unified narrative of passion, perseverance and unwavering belief in heavy metal. Songs such as “Hate Me” carry an emotive weight, while “We Are Not Alone” channels energised optimism, capturing the essence of Sons Of Cult’s message. The pacing throughout “Revenge” is deliberate and assured, allowing atmosphere and emotion to flourish without ever losing momentum.
The album was recorded and produced by Vicente J. Payá, known for his work with Golgotha and Unbounded Terror, with mixing and mastering handled by Davide Billia (Avulsed, Holycide, Ural). Together they have crafted a warm, dynamic and expressive sound that complements the band’s traditionalist approach.
“Revenge” will be released worldwide on the 25th of September through Black Night Records. With this album, Sons Of Cult reaffirm their commitment to the legacy of heavy metal and demonstrate that its future remains bright in their hands.
