Jawbreaker Records confirms the cassette release of Sandstorm’s forthcoming mini‑album Dungeon of Death, a title that reflects the band’s flair for dramatic, traditional heavy metal.

Sandstorm formed in 2017 when Swedish brothers Stevie Whiteless and Reptile Anderson joined forces, later bringing in Canadian drummer PJ “The Butcher” LaGriffe. Their sound draws from underground Swedish metal, the NWOBHM and the classic visual language of studs, leather and raw metallic energy. The trio have built a reputation for capturing the essence of early heavy metal with sincerity and style.

Following the international reception of Time to Strike in 2019 and Desert Warrior in 2021, both released through Dying Victims Productions, listeners have been waiting for the next chapter. Dungeon of Death arrives as the long‑anticipated successor, offering a new collection of songs that sharpen the band’s identity while honouring the roots of the genre.

Compared with earlier releases, Dungeon of Death leans further into the rock ‘n’ roll foundations that shaped early heavy metal. The production is warm and vintage, evoking the atmosphere of an early 80s studio and giving the record a time‑slipped, mystical quality. The result is a release steeped in medieval metal imagery, delivered with conviction and spirit.
