Gage, the Lead Reviews Writer for TheNwothm.com, hails from the rural parts of Ohio and grew up with two metalhead parents who constantly played heavier music. From an early age, he chased anything loud and emotional. His journey began with The Doors and Alice in Chains, then expanded to Ozzy and Metallica, yet he always searched for new music that still felt rooted in the old.

Born in 1998, Gage came of age in a time when many of his peers listened to nu‑metal and metalcore. However, he wanted something different. In 2015, he finally found what he craved with Visigoth, and soon after that, Enforcer and Haunt. He quickly became the token long‑haired kid at his high school. He has followed the scene for years, but TheNwothm.com is his first proper gig as a writer covering traditional and underground metal. Fittingly, he has not missed a major trad metal release since 2020.

Outside his work as a writer, Gage spends time working on his novel and studying through online classes. He also loves video games and comic books and proudly calls himself a huge dork. In addition, he collects physical media, including CDs, DVDs and games, and enjoys building shelves full of the music and stories he loves.

Gage’s favourite bands include Iron Maiden, Cathedral, Enforcer, Trivium, Spirit Adrift and Judas Priest, along with too many others to list. These bands continue to shape his taste and fuel his writing for TheNwothm.com as a dedicated Gage writer.
