Celebrating 20 years of metal culture in Ochtendung, The A Chance For Metal Festival returns in 2026 for its 18th edition – with a very special anniversary in tow.

The long-running A Chance For Metal Festival (ACFMF) celebrates two decades of heavy metal, volunteer spirit, and cultural commitment to rural communities. Following a successful 2025 edition with 15 bands and over 1,600 hours of volunteer efforts the festival will continue in 2026!

Preparations are already underway, with the anniversary set to feature new highlights. Expect retrospective moments, support for emerging artists, and a few surprises, all shaped with fan input.

The 2026 edition of A Chance For Metal Festival kicks off with arrival on 30th April, followed by the main event on 1st–2nd May. Before the music begins on the first day, fans can enjoy a special bonus programme, adding an extra layer to the celebration. Departures are scheduled by 14:00 on 3rd May.
