Mystigaard teams up with Warlord’s Mark Zonder for new track

Heavy metal outfit Mystigaard has officially released its latest single, “The Might of Heroes,” now available on all major streaming platforms. The track features a powerful guest performance by acclaimed drummer Mark Zonder (Warlord, ex-Fates Warning), bringing a dynamic edge to the band’s epic sound.

With its classic heavy metal style reminiscent of Dio, Manowar, and Fates Warning, the single offers a fresh-yet-familiar sound that is sure to resonate with fans of traditional metal. The track’s lyrics draw inspiration from the Epic of Gilgamesh, channeling timeless themes of strength, legacy, and heroism.

  • Billy Schlump (David Reece touring band) – Guitar
  • Logan Loebrick (David Reece touring band) – Drums

Mark Zonder’s guest performance on drums elevates the song to new heights, showcasing why he remains one of the genre’s most influential and respected percussionists. Mixing and mastering duties were handled by Christoffer Borg (Art Nation), delivering a clean yet thunderous sound.

Mystigaard is set to make its live debut at Legions of Metal Festival in Chicago on May 2nd & 3rd, sharing the stage with Toxic Holocaust, Crimson Glory, Seven Spires, and more.
