BURNING WITCHES are back with a fierce nod to 80s heavy metal, enhanced with fresh sonic clarity, in their upcoming maxi-single “The Spell of the Skull,” dropping December 10, 2024, via Napalm Records. With searing guitars and powerful vocals, the Swiss quintet is ready to deliver a high-energy metal storm, bringing their spellbinding sound straight into winter.

This release unveils two new tracks, offering a taste of the band’s latest chapter of musical sorcery. Lead guitarist and “Witchqueen” Romana Kalkuhl captivates listeners with spellbinding riffs, while powerhouse vocalist Laura Guldemond commands attention with her dynamic, shout-along choruses. The title track, “The Spell of the Skull,” kicks off with a hard-hitting guitar intro that sets up Laura’s thunderous vocals, especially soaring in the chorus, making it a perfect anthem for heavy metal fans.
