Warhog returns on the 10th of April with “Ethereal Journey”, a three track metal EP that charts a sci fi fantasy voyage through deep space. The release blends high energy power, atmospheric storytelling and a clear nod to classic heavy metal tradition.
The campaign is already underway with the lead single “Starlight”, released on the 6th of March and available now. The track launches with a fierce burst of momentum and follows a crew of explorers searching the galaxy for a new home. It captures Warhog at their most direct and forceful, built around sharp hooks and a driving sense of urgency.
The title track “Ethereal Journey” expands the narrative into a twenty three minute odyssey. It centres on a lone traveller who responds to a mysterious signal during a time of human collapse. His mission begins with hope but soon spirals into a confrontation with an unknown source of power that tests the limits of his mind and blurs the boundary between rescue and ruin.
The EP concludes with a heavy reimagining of the UFO classic “Doctor Doctor”. Warhog deliver a modern metal interpretation that honours the original while pushing it into a darker and more aggressive space.
Across all three tracks, drummer Chris Lucci of Humanness Test brings precision, weight and scale, anchoring the EP’s cinematic scope.
Warhogs new metal EP “Ethereal Journey” arrives on the 10th of April.
