Our Goal

We’re now into March 2026 and our new GoFundMe campaign is live. This year’s fundraiser covers the next twelve months of hosting, maintenance and essential running costs for the site, and we’re also aiming to build enough of a buffer to produce some promotional materials. We’re partway through the month already, so early support makes a real difference.

For The music Not profit

We run this platform with one conviction: the music leads, not the money. Since 2023 every review, interview, feature and news piece has been created by a small volunteer team who give their time because they believe this movement deserves a proper home. They do it for the nwothm community, for the bands who keep it alive, and for the belief that real metal should always have a space where it’s treated with respect.

The site is fully independent and non‑profit. Every penny goes straight back into hosting, maintenance and the essential costs that keep everything running. Donations never become profit. They keep the platform online and allow us to stay focused on the music and the people who make this scene what it is.

This year’s campaign has had a slower start than we hoped, but that only makes your support more powerful. Every contribution genuinely moves the needle. It keeps the site alive, fuels the work we publish and helps carry this project into 2026 and beyond. When you donate, you’re not just helping a website — you’re keeping an independent space alive for nwothm, for the bands pushing it forward and for the community that gives it meaning.
