Marta Gabriel’s Leatherwitch Launches ‘Beast Inside’ Music Video

A powerful new presence arrives on the heavy metal landscape as Leatherwitch unveil their debut single Beast Inside, accompanied by the band’s first official music video. The single will be released on April the 23rd as a limited 7″ black splatter vinyl edition through Listenable Records, with pre orders now open!

Leatherwitch is the newly formed band created by vocalist and multi instrumentalist Marta Gabriel. The project introduces a fresh era in her career, driven by rapid, headbanging rhythms, classic speed metal riffing and fiery guitar solos. Beast Inside blends these elements with Gabriel’s unmistakably melodic vocal lines, drawing inspiration from Gothic horror and the enduring werewolf myth.

The track is mixed by Olof Wikstrand of Enforcer and features a guest performance from guitarist Giuseppe Taormina, known for his work with Ellende and formerly Crystal Viper. A red with black splatter vinyl variant will also be available, packaged with a silver logo patch, a signed postcard from Marta Gabriel and a beer coaster. Only 300 copies will be produced worldwide.

A new chapter for Marta Gabriel

Leatherwitch marks Gabriel’s first new band following the conclusion of Crystal Viper in autumn 2025. Crystal Viper performed in more than twenty countries, appeared at major festivals including Wacken Open Air, Hellfest and Keep It True, and released nine studio albums. Their farewell live record The Live Quest was issued by Listenable Records in June 2025.

Earlier in 2025, Gabriel toured Europe as bassist for Japanese heavy metal icons METALUCIFER on their Heavy Metal Anniversary Tour, followed by two exclusive solo performances in Tokyo. leatherwitch now represents her next creative step, with work already underway on the band’s debut full length album.
