MIDNATT, one of Sweden’s most ferocious heavy metal outfits, announce their first full length album Skräckfylld Förtjusning. The band first tore through the underground with the Metallisk Hetta demo in 2022, and this new record marks a decisive step into a louder, darker and more commanding era for the group.

Skräckfylld Förtjusning, arriving through Jawbreaker Records on the 27th of March 2026, takes its name from the phrase “Terrifying Delight”. The album moves between street level brawling riffs, bleak nods to Eastern European metal traditions, towering anthems and lyrics that explore the pull of death and the rituals surrounding it. The band draw from the earliest sparks of Swedish heavy metal while shaping a sound that is unmistakably their own, built on grit, shadow and cold metallic force. Recorded in the forests of Värmland with a focus on analogue weight and raw atmosphere, the album captures heavy metal in its most immediate and unpolished form.

The addition of guitarist Edward Pancetti has sharpened the band’s attack, bringing a blend of melody and ferocity that echoes the spirit of Heavy Load, Gotham City, Axe Witch and Jonah Quizz without ever slipping into imitation.
