Hey everyone, how are you doing? Rob here. I wanted to step away from our usual content for a moment.

As much as I’ve been to countless metal festivals in the UK like Bloodstock and Download since 2007, and a handful in Europe like Rockfest and Metaldays, I’ve never actually been to a festival that focuses purely on traditional heavy metal.I know what is going on right? That changes this year, as I’ll finally be heading to my first: Keep It True Rising this October.

It’s a festival I’ve had my eye on for a while, and now I finally get to attend. I honestly couldn’t be more excited. The line-ups have always been brilliant, and the reputation for delivering year after year speaks for itself.

So I’ll be at the festival, and on one of the days I’ll be wearing a TheNwothm t-shirt to quietly represent the site. If you see me, feel free to come over, say hello, have a chat, maybe share a beer. I’d love to meet some of the bands we’ve supported, and if we haven’t connected yet, let’s do it!

If any bands happen to bring CDs, flyers or other promo material they’d like to share, I’d be glad to help feature it on the site. It’s all about supporting the music and the people behind it, in whatever way feels right.
