Archdruid emerged from the forests of New Hampshire in 2014, conjuring a sound as heavy as ancient stone and as mystical as the rituals of forgotten ages. This independent quartet (now a quintet) channels the dark majesty of epic /doom metal, weaving together themes of paganism, mythology, folklore, witchcraft, and the Dark Ages into a sonic tapestry thick with atmosphere and depth.
They’ve steadily carved their niche in the underground, unconfined by label allegiance. Their output includes a haunting 2021 demo, the myth-infused EP Tales from the Mabinogion (2023), a collaborative split (2023) with fellow doom emissaries, and their eponymous full-length debut Archdruid (2025), met with acclaim in niche metal circles for its brooding grandeur and cinematic weight.
