Mark Pruett is a TheNWOTHM.com writer from Southern California. He has been a metal fan for 40+ years and enjoys bands from many different genres. Also, he is the Editor-in-Chief of Whiskey Network and is a Board Member of the Metal Hall of Fame. In his career, he has built an extensive resume of works that include collaborations with Scott Ian and Frank Bello (Anthrax), Inferno (Behemoth), Jizmak da Gusha (GWAR), Joakim Brodén and Hannes Van Dahl (Sabaton), Robb Flynn (Machine Head), Geoff Tate (ex-Queensryche), Neil Giraldo (Pat Benetar), John Petrucci (Dream Theater), and many more. His writing on the NWOTHM scene includes works with Haunt, Saber, Hallas, Mechanic Tyrants, Elle Tea, Kontact, and others.

As an avid supporter of live music across many different genres, he is often spotted at shows in the active NWOTHM scene in Los Angeles, CA. In addition, he is an enthusiastic CD collector with over 1500 discs in his well-curated collection that includes rock, metal, jazz, folk, and classical. Finally, he has built a deep and varied collection of whiskey, bourbon, and scotch which is often enjoyed with his favorite music.

He currently resides in Orange County, CA and continues to active support rock, metal, and the NWOTHM scene.
