Location: Canada 🇨🇦

Hey, guys! My name is Bruno, and I’m from Fortaleza, in the extremely sunny Northeast of Brazil. However, since 2015, I’ve been living in the extremely snowy Toronto, Canada. I got hooked on music early on, like most people, thanks to my parents’ record collection and whatever I could catch on the radio.
But I have always been obsessed with guitars! Ever since I can remember, I’ve been magnetically drawn to anyone playing a guitar on TV, and anytime I heard a lead guitar melody—regardless of the genre—it was electrifying (imagine the feeling of listening to Top Gun’s soundtrack for the first time!). That alone made picking up the guitar feel inevitable. But playing Heavy Metal, specifically, became non-negotiable the moment I heard the first three seconds of an Iron Maiden song when I was 15 (for the record, that was ‘Be Quick or Be Dead’, and the year was 1998).
After that, there was no turning back. Within a month, I got a Brazilian-made Stratocaster, and immediately started butchering Maiden, Helloween, and Blind Guardian songs with my friends. Over the years, I was involved in multiple projects and stayed pretty active in our local underground scene.
The most prominent one was Walking Back to Hell, a band that mashed together Manowar, W.A.S.P., Motörhead, and Mercyful Fate—all while belting out absurd, beer-fueled anthems in Brazilian Portuguese. We were at it from 2004 to 2015, when I moved to Canada, though we still jam whenever I’m back home.
During our run, we dropped an EP in 2007 and even got to share the stage with Power Metal legends Angra and the Brazilian rockers Velhas Virgens.
Favourite Bands: Mercyful Fate, King Diamond, Iron Maiden, Accept, Saxon, Judas Priest, Testament, Exodus, Paradise Lost, Marillion, Neal Morse, David Bowie, Elton John, KISS, and Snarky Puppy.
If we’re talking newer acts, I’m really into Skull Fist, Iron Curtain, Demon Spell, Castle, Crypt Sermon,
Gatecreeper, Avatarium, and Blues Pills.
Hobbies:
Balancing family life made band commitments tough, so in 2023, I launched Paranoia Church—my one-man-band project for creative freedom. Inspired by NWOBHM, I debuted with A Little Dream of You, featuring Tasos Lazaris and Fabio Alessandrini. Six more tracks followed, leading to my debut album, Till the Wolves Come Home (Summer 2025). When not working or parenting, I’m creating, promoting, or consuming music.
