Band of the day: Mercürio (Argentina)

Mercürio is an independent heavy metal band based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, active since 2018. Blending themes of rebellion and rock ‘n’ roll, the group channels raw energy and a classic metal ethos into both studio recordings and live performances. Their debut EP Invasión metálica (2020) earned positive reviews, and their full-length release Instinto callejero (2022) further established their gritty sound. They’ve contributed to compilations like Electric Heavy Speed Metal 2020 and Nueva ola del heavy metal Argentino (2021), appearing on CD-R and cassette formats through underground labels and fanzines.
