Swedish heavy metal band AMBUSH has released “Maskirovka”, the second single from their upcoming album Evil In All Dimensions, set to drop on September 5, 2025 via Napalm Records. Inspired by classic ’80s metal and delivering a powerful critique of truth manipulation, the new track stands out thanks to Oskar Jakobsson’s commanding vocal performance and a solid, modern production. The album promises to be a milestone in the band’s career, blending high-speed tracks, dark ballads, and a thematic focus on the struggle between freedom and authoritarianism.
A galloping riff drives the rhythm of Ambush’s latest song, “Maskirovka”—a bold lyric that confronts one of today’s global conflicts head-on. In the music video, the band performs amidst flames and archival footage. Mid-tempo grooves, epic backing vocals, and twin guitar solos round out the song’s compelling sound.”Maskirovka” is a Russian word (маскировка) that literally means “camouflage” or “military deception”. More broadly, it refers to a strategy of misinformation, manipulation, and concealment, often used in military or geopolitical contexts to confuse the enemy.
