Vicious Rumours new album ‘The Devil’s Asylum’ out on August 29, 2025

After five intense years,Legendary American heavy metal band Vicious Rumors returns with a vengeance, dropping their blistering new single “Bloodbath”, taken from their upcoming studio album The Devil’s Asylum, set for release on August 29, 2025.

The high-octane track delivers the signature sonic assault fans have come to expect razor sharp riffs, thunderous drums, and ferocious vocals setting the tone for what promises to be one of the band’s heaviest and most intense albums to date.

During the hiatus, band founder Geoff Thorpe and his crew played over 150 shows worldwide, delivering a high-octane retrospective of their greatest hits—and recharging their creative fire in the process.

“This album brings us back to our roots, fused with a modern edge,” says Thorpe. “After 45 years, our mission is still the same: Every song, every show, every album has to matter. The Devil’s Asylum is pure Vicious Rumors—intense, heavy, and bursting with fresh ideas.”

Alongside Thorpe, the core lineup includes original drummer/vocalist Larry Howe and long-time bassist Robin Utbult. The new album also introduces two fresh forces from Cape Coral, Florida: vocalist Chalice and guitarist Denver Cooper, who bring renewed chemistry and energy to the band.
