With a flash of steel and a howl from the underground, Animalize returns—louder, wilder, and more unhinged than ever. The French metal renegades unveil their brand-new track “Armées de la Nuit” exclusively through the New Wave of Traditional Heavy Metal (NWOTHM) YouTube channel. This marks the second single from their upcoming full-length assault, Verminateur, set to drop worldwide on May 23rd via Dying Victims Productions.

Born from the shadowy corners of France’s heavy metal underground, Animalize has never played it safe. Known for their high-voltage live shows—part rock concert, part dystopian performance art—the band has carved out a space that’s entirely their own. Harnesses, chains, chainsaws, and theatrical blood? All in a night’s work.

Now, with “Verminateur,” they go fully native: ten tracks of pure heavy metal mayhem, delivered entirely in French, as demanded by their ever-growing cult following. Their previous record, “Meat We’re Made Of” (2022), hinted at their madcap brilliance—a whirlwind of speed, power, and traditional metal stitched together with wild-eyed flair. But on “Verminateur” Animalize dials into something sharper, catchier, and more dangerous.

From stomping mid-tempo bangers to razor-edged speed metal blitzes, the album balances unrelenting energy with infectious, almost glam-like hooks. The synth-laced opener “Invasion” and the piano-driven “Prière de Remords” add unexpected dimensions, while the rest of the record rips through its runtime like a sawblade through bone. If MTV had aired underground French metal in the mid-‘80s, this would’ve been on heavy rotation.

To coincide with the release, Dying Victims Productions will also reissue Animalize’s ferocious debut full-length, Meat We’re Made Of, giving fans a double dose of the band’s unrelenting sound.
