Review

Hyperbolized kicks off with semi-acoustic chords ringing out, seamlessly paired with heavenly synths and deep bass notes that set a lush, atmospheric tone. Then—bam—a sudden shift launches us into thunderous rhythm guitar work, unleashing smoking riffs that hit hard. I’m absolutely loving the lead guitar lines that drive the verses, all while Joseph Curtis’s powerful vocals take center stage with commanding presence. The entire production feels tight and punchy—it’s the kind of sound that makes you want to crank the volume. And those choruses? They’re irresistibly catchy—the kind that hook you instantly and have crowds singing along in no time.

The thrashy section midway through has a nice scaling riff giving us a headbanging moment before we are dropped into a slower hazy section where the sexy and seductive lead work steps forward. Over time it develops with the tempo showing of some super hot scales! We then return to another chorus and thrashy section to take the song out sealing this to be an excellent opener!

Never The End picks up the speed, throwing you back into your seat. An explosion of double kick and zooming guitar riffs will take you to the atmosphere and back. I am also loving the little dabbles of guitar tapping. If you love fast tracks that give you the opportunity to just let yourself go to then this one is for you! The solo will literally melt your face and leave your ear drums smoking! Hell yeah!

“Riot Pact” comes in hot as track three, immediately dropping us into a gripping soundscape. Once again, we’re hit with explosive guitar riffs and relentless drumming that drive the momentum forward. This track leans more into a straight-up, hard-hitting rock vibe—but it’s the vocal layering on the choruses that really stands out, adding a rich texture and weight that elevates the whole mix. As the song progresses, the intensity builds until we’re launched into a tantalizing solo section—packed with killer riffs and tight harmonies that make it a real highlight. From there, we dive back into one final chorus and a blaze of fiery, intense guitar work that closes the track with serious impact.

Self Vilified is an absolute trailblazer! The intro harmonised guitar work ripped my speakers but it did not stop there! The vocal work literally stepped up with some absolute electricity sparking! Initially I thought wait that can not be, but to my astonishment that killer vocal was from the one and only Tim Ripper Owens! Especially with those high metal screams! But then cross back over to Joseph which mixes things up nicely! The metal continues to flow like molten lava before the ripper once agains strikes with lightning vocal lines! One thing I can safely say is that the vocals take centre stage here which is excellent specially with Ripper making an appearance. There is a very chilled laid back breakdown low gain guitar chords and mellow drumming. Soon a massive slice of epic guitar shredding comes in briefly before the vocals return for simple yet pleasing outro section! Did I mention Ripper makes one last metal scream to finish things off?

From The Ashes, Rise! Is one of those pure headbangers! From monstrous chords to the twisting and turning riffs that just embed themselves in your brain you know that these will be repeating in your mid all day. It feels some what uplifting and powerful and once again makes me want to up the speaker volume to really feel the music, especially with the lead licks. I even love how Lukes bass tones really cut through the mix adding some extra warmth. But the ultimate highlight for me was the solo which to be honest like one of the best on the album!

“The Cursed” crashes in with searing riffs and pure fist-pumping energy. Everything about this track oozes attitude — it’s gritty, aggressive, and means serious business. The guitar work is rough, raw, and ready to rip straight through the mix. After checking out the band’s influences, it’s clear this song wears them proudly — soaked in heavy inspiration, but delivered with a fresh bite. Once again, the chorus is a standout moment, built to grab listeners and have them shouting along in no time.”

Dead Ringer is a track that charges at you like a stampede of furious rhinos — unstoppable and full of force. The songwriting remains top-tier, making this yet another worthy addition to the album’s lineup. It’s packed with meaty riffs and moments that glide effortlessly through the mix, offering both weight and atmosphere. And just like the standout tracks before it, the solo section is a show-stealer. It’s like the band channeled their inner Eddie Van Halen, cranked the amp to 11, and let loose with a scorching lead that could melt steel.

Beggars Belief The album’s closer opens with delicate acoustic notes that echo like a hymn through a vast cathedral. Unlike the earlier tracks, it eases in gently, with soft, intimate vocals setting a reflective tone. But slowly, the band builds momentum, and warm electric tones begin to rise like a radiant sunset, bathing the song in rich, glowing color. You can feel the raw power and emotion in every chord, every lyric — it’s the kind of music that stirs something deep, sending chills down your spine and leaving you with that warm, fuzzy feeling. The riffs are magnificent, wrapping around you like a heartfelt embrace. Then comes the solo, soaring skyward in a vibrant flurry of notes and scales, buzzing with emotion. There’s a beautiful density to the sound — so many layers, so much depth — it sweeps you right off your feet. And just as it began, the song gently returns to its acoustic roots, bringing everything full circle in a perfectly poetic close.

Conclusion

From start to finish, this album is a sonic juggernaut. Each track brings its own flavor—whether it’s thunderous riffage, face-melting solos, or soaring vocals—but what ties it all together is the sheer passion and power behind every note. The blend of atmospheric moments and relentless metal energy keeps the listening experience dynamic and immersive. The special guest feature from Tim Ripper Owens, killer production, and masterful songwriting elevate this release into something truly memorable. Whether you’re in it for the headbangs, the hooks, or the emotional depth, this album delivers on all fronts. Simply put: it rips, it roars, and it absolutely rocks.
