Black Sabbath last toured in 2017, but original drummer Bill Ward was absent from the lineup. For many fans, that tour was the closest they would ever get to seeing the legendary band in action. In the years that followed, frontman Ozzy Osbourne faced a series of health challenges, ultimately stepping away from the stage to focus on his well-being and music.
Despite these setbacks, Ozzy remained determined to perform one last time with his Black Sabbath bandmates. Now, in 2025, that dream is becoming a reality. The band has officially announced their final show, Back to the Beginning—a historic farewell concert set to take place at Villa Park in Birmingham, UK, on Saturday, July 15th.
This all-day event will feature an incredible lineup, including Metallica, Pantera, Slayer, Sammy Hagar, and many more. Beyond being a monumental night for rock and metal fans, the concert will also support several charitable causes, with proceeds benefiting Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Acorn Children’s Hospice.
For Black Sabbath and their fans, this will be more than just a concert—it will be the ultimate celebration of a legendary career, bringing the band’s journey full circle in their hometown of Birmingham.
