Mystigaard Unleashes New Single, “The Painter of Lore”

Heavy metal band Mystigaard, featuring Thor bassist Ted Jedlicki, has dropped their new single, “The Painter of Lore,” now streaming on all major platforms. Combining traditional heavy metal with elements of power metal, Mystigaard is on a mission to ignite the passion of metal fans worldwide.

A New Era of Metal

Mystigaard was founded by Ted Jedlicki, who composed and recorded tracks during breaks from his work with Thor, and Terry Westerman, an accomplished vocalist and guitarist. The band’s debut single features an all-star lineup, including:

Eric Juris (Warlord, ex-Crystal Viper) – Guitars
Hedras Ramos – Virtuoso guitarist
Hugo Ribeiro (Moonspell) – Drums

The song is a heartfelt dedication to Kevin “SpaceKev” Suchy, a cherished friend and devoted metal enthusiast.

About Ted Jedlicki

Since 2017, Ted Jedlicki has been the bassist for cult heavy metal legends Thor, touring extensively across North America and performing at major European festivals. He’s shared the stage with renowned acts such as Ghost, Sabaton, Testament, and Amaranthe. Notable recordings include Thor’s 2021 album Alliance, featuring collaborations with Björn Strid (Soilwork/The Night Flight Orchestra), Ross The Boss (Ex-Manowar), and John Gallagher (Raven). Jedlicki also contributed to the soundtrack for the 2022 action film Pact of Vengeance and has recently played with traditional metal band Chamber Mage at various U.S. festivals.

About Terry Westerman

A veteran of the music industry, Terry Westerman has performed with numerous bands as both a singer and guitarist. His partnership with Jedlicki began through their shared connection with Thor, eventually leading to Westerman contributing backing vocals to Thor’s Alliance album.

Upcoming Live Debut

Mystigaard will take the stage for the first time at the Legions of Metal Festival on May 2–3 at Reggies in Chicago. Sharing the lineup with metal giants Crimson Glory, Seven Spires, and more, the band is poised to make their mark. Mystigaard is also hard at work on their full-length debut album, slated for release later this year.
