Burning Path Forge A New Chapter in Chilean Heavy Metal With Their Self‑Titled Debut

A revitalised force in Chilean heavy metal steps forward as Burning Path unveil their self‑titled debut album, now available to hear in full:

Formed in the wake of profound loss, Burning Path rises from the legacy of Lucifer’s Hammer. Following the death of founding member Andre Adasme (Hades) in December 2024, his brother Rodrigo (Titan) chose to honour that legacy by forging a new chapter alongside long‑standing guitarist Hypnos. In doing so, the pair created a project that carries the spirit of their past while carving out its own identity. Titan has taken on vocal duties in addition to drums and guitar, with Hypnos contributing guitar, bass and keyboards, resulting in a lean but formidable partnership.

Burning Path’s debut album captures the traditional heavy metal heart that defined their previous work, channelling the melodic power and emotional weight that have long been their signature. The record leans into a commanding mid‑tempo stride, balancing steel‑edged riffs with a sense of drama and introspection. Echoes of classic mid‑1980s metal run through the album, drawing on the spirit of bands such as Dokken, Heavy Pettin’, Diamond Head, Europe, Witch Cross, Virgin Steele and the heavier side of 1980s KISS, yet reshaped into something unmistakably their own.

The album’s artwork reflects the band’s renewed purpose, while the music itself stands as both tribute and forward momentum. Burning Path channel heroism, melancholy and resilience in equal measure, crafting songs that feel both familiar and fiercely driven.
