Silver Talon formed in Portland, Oregon in 2017 after the breakup of Spellcaster, with guitarist Bryce VanHoosen and vocalist Wyatt Howell driving a heavier, more aggressive sound. Their debut EP Becoming A Demon (2018) featured a guest solo from Jeff Loomis and set the tone for their raw-edged style. By 2019, the lineup solidified with Devon Miller on guitar and Walter Hartzell on bass.

Their full-length debut Decadence and Decay arrived in 2021, earning critical acclaim and featuring a collaboration with Andy La Rocque on the track Resistance 2029. The band toured extensively post-pandemic, appearing at Hell’s Heroes and Legions of Metal, and sharing stages with Cynic, Atheist, and Exmortus.

Now signed to M-Theory Audio, Silver Talon is preparing their second album, continuing to fuse dark, brooding heavy metal with classic influences like King Diamond, Nevermore, and Judas Priest.
