Swedish heavy metal stalwarts Bullet return with full force in 2026, announcing their new studio album ‘Kickstarter’ set for release on 09th January via Steamhammer.
Formed in autumn 2001, Bullet have built their reputation on traditional heavy metal rooted in the late 70s and early 80s. Seven years after their last studio release ‘Dust To Gold’ (2018), the band—Dag “Hell” Hofer (vocals), Hampus Klang (guitar), Gustav Hector (bass), Gustav Hjortsjö (drums), and newest member Freddie Johansson (guitar)—are back with a record that reaffirms their commitment to classic metal with a modern edge.
‘Kickstarter’ is more than just a title. It’s a statement of intent. After their iconic tour bus suffered a catastrophic engine failure, Bullet refused to be sidelined. With oil-smeared hands and a DIY spirit, they rebuilt the vehicle and are now ready to hit the road once again.
The band explains the choice of lead single:
“The first choice of single release for the album kinda explains itself. Ben presented the idea of a song to what later became ‘Kickstarter’ during his time in the band. It was nameless at the time and had a bunch of working names throughout the process. As the album came together it became the obvious first choice for opening song on the album, first single release, as well as the bearer of the title ‘Kickstarter’. As soon as you hear the first snare hit followed by that bulldozer of a guitar riff you’ll know why.”

The album will be available as CD digipak (with poster), LP gatefold version and digital formats. Pre-orders are live at: https://Bullet.lnk.to/Kickstarter
