Swedish heavy metal stalwarts AMBUSH have released their final single ahead of their new album, and it’s a curveball: the emotionally charged power ballad “I Fear The Blood” is out now, complete with a haunting lyric video. The track marks a bold shift in tone, revealing a raw vulnerability beneath the band’s trademark steel. Watch the full video now:

“I Fear The Blood” is a slow-burning anthem of reckoning and regret, with vocalist Oskar Jakobsson delivering one of his most impassioned performances to date. The song explores the moment of clarity when self-destructive patterns become impossible to ignore. It’s a stark, introspective piece that invites reflection and perhaps redemption.

The single is taken from Ambush’s fourth full-length album, “Evil In All Dimensions,” which lands this Friday, September 5th, via Napalm Records. Pre-orders are open now, with a range of limited vinyl editions and bundles available.

The band shares: “There’s a point where you stop running and start facing what you’ve become. ‘I Fear The Blood’ is about that moment. It’s not just fear—it’s the hope that something else might still be possible.”

The album itself is a masterclass in modern heavy metal, balancing classic 80s riffage with sharp production and thematic depth. From the galloping opener “Evil In All Dimensions” to the brooding “The Night I Took Your Life” and the defiant groove of “Maskirovka,” AMBUSH deliver nine tracks of unrelenting power. “Come Angel of Night” stands out as a cathartic blast of reconciliation, while “Heavy Metal Brethren” closes the record with fists raised high.
