Brazilian heavy metal band Phantom Star have released their latest single, “I Am the Storm”, now streaming on Bandcamp and Spotify. Recorded at Heavytron Studios and mixed/mastered by Arthur Migotto, the track marks a bold step forward in the band’s evolving sound.
Formed in Curitiba in 2024, Phantom Star bring together five seasoned musicians: Matheus Luciano (vocals), Ricke Nunes (bass), Mauricio “Muh” Vastrinche (drums), Mauricio “The Fox” (guitars), and Lucas Licheski (guitars). Their music draws from the epic traditions of Dio and Iron Maiden, blending classic heavy metal with progressive structures and a cosmic, narrative-driven atmosphere.
“I Am the Storm” channels the spirit of resistance, honouring the legacy of Indigenous warriors and confronting Brazil’s ongoing social challenges. Lyrically and sonically, the track reflects Phantom Star’s commitment to storytelling, sovereignty, and pride in ancestral roots.
Following their debut single “Touch of a Curse” and live appearances alongside Hammerfall and Vandenberg, Phantom Star are currently preparing their first full-length album. “I Am the Storm” offers a powerful glimpse of what’s to come.
