Throw back Thursday – Teazer (UK)

Teazer emerged from Wolverhampton’s metal scene in 1983, delivering a fierce blend of NWOBHM, heavy metal, and hard rock. Their run was brief, ending in 1985, but the band left behind a gritty demo and a handful of live recordings that captured the raw spirit of the era. Their 1984 demo remains a sought-after gem among collectors and later featured on compilations like Obscure N.W.O.B.H.M. Demos Vol.5 and Demos & Live (1984 to 1985).

The lineup included Pete Vickers on bass, Mick Hammonds on drums, Pete Cook on guitar, and Andy Lewis on vocals, with several members later playing in respected UK acts such as Karrier and Scarab. Teazer’s sound channels the melodic aggression of bands like Wolf, Demon, and Trespass, making them a must-hear for fans of underground British metal.
