Italy’s rising dream metal force Temptress have officially released their debut album Catch the Endless Dawn, now available internationally through Dying Victims Productions and streaming in full via the New Wave of Traditional Heavy Metal (NWOTHM) YouTube channel.
Formed in 2018 by members of underground stalwarts Bunker 66, Children of Technology, Gargoyle, and Boia, Temptress was born of a deep reverence for the hazy melancholia and melodic charm of unsung ‘80s metal heroes. Think Proud, Randy, Heavy Load, and Gotham City, with a shadowy nod to Mercyful Fate. Their early release, “The Orb 7″, gave listeners a glimpse of their sonic dreamscape, later appearing on the acclaimed Dying Victims vol. 2: Heavy Metal Attack compilation in 2023.
Now, Temptress emerge fully awakened, inviting listeners into their mesmerising realm with “Catch the Endless Dawn.” Woven with atmospheric restraint and melodic emotion, the album showcases the band’s signature style: haunting, elegant, and unmistakably Dream Metal. With shades of early Rainbow, April Wine, and Club Ninja-era Blue Öyster Cult, it’s a journey that balances fantasy and feeling, gallop and gloom.
