Jawbreaker Records is proud to announce the signing of Hunger, an emerging heavy/speed metal force hailing from Spain. Known for their haunted, cursed atmosphere and fierce dedication to the underground, Hunger channels the raw spirit of the mid-1980s metal scene.
Fronted by vocalist Dizzy D., with Jara Solís and Rudolf V. on guitars, Vick Rodríguez on bass, and session powerhouse Fabio Alessandrini (Annihilator, Bonfire, Enforcer) on drums, Hunger delivers a six-track EP steeped in classic heavy and speed metal tradition.
Drawing from the cursed energy of the mid-’80s, the band fuses razor-sharp riffs with searing, commanding vocals. This is heavy/speed metal with a distinct personality – raw, relentless, and forged by underground fanatics for fellow diehards.

The EP kicks off with a one-minute instrumental – all chugging mid-tempo riffs, dive bombs, and a mounting tension that bursts into pure speed metal chaos. What follows is a furious, high-energy onslaught packed with hooks and staying power. One standout chant, “Hunger, feed the beast! Hunger, craving flesh!” is tailor-made for crowd participation.
Each track brings something unique. Ruler of the Wolves opens with a neoclassical-flavored riff and a lead melody that weaves in and out of the song. Sabotage goes full-throttle, a breakneck speed metal anthem featuring guest vocals from Aitor Navarro (ex-Hitten) and harmonized choruses reminiscent of Spanish legends like Muro or EVO. The EP closes with Beware the Demons, a studio debut of a rare Stormwitch track previously only performed live. It starts ominously slow, then erupts into NWOBHM-inspired riffing with a chorus that sticks on first listen.
For fans of raw, authentic heavy/speed metal in the vein of Motörhead, Warlock, Atlain, MP, Vectom, Muro, Tigres, EVO, or Running Wild, this EP hits hard and leaves a mark.
Ruler of the Wolves will be released on CD, music cassette, and digitally on September 5, 2025.
