Swedish heavy metal quartet Stygian Fair have released a searing new single, “Abide Your Master”, offering a first look into their upcoming full-length record, “The Hidden Realm,” due out July 11, 2025, via Rockshots Records.

Known for their blend of emotionally intense songwriting and classic metal sensibilities, Stygian Fair continue to evolve their signature sound with this latest offering. Drawing early comparisons to acts like Tad Morose and Memento Mori, “Abide Your Master” is both a philosophical statement and a sonic assault — confronting the perils of blind allegiance in a world on the brink.

The new track showcases the band’s sharpened direction, both lyrically and musically. Speaking to the theme, the band tackles questions around power, autonomy, and mass manipulation, crafting a message as powerful as the riff-driven assault backing it. It’s a bold start to what promises to be a standout album in the band’s growing discography.

“The Hidden Realm” marks the next chapter for the Umeå-based band, following a string of well-received releases including “Panta Rei” (2018), “Nadir” (2020), “Equilibrium” (2021), and the critically praised Aradia (2023). With their fifth studio album, Stygian Fair push even further—embracing more melodic structures and dynamic range while maintaining the grit and heart that defines their sound.

Lyrically, the album dives deep into contemporary and timeless themes—political collapse, mass delusion, ancient truths, and the psychological forces that govern belief and identity. It’s an introspective yet urgent body of work, wrapped in a heavy metal framework that refuses to pull punches.

Recorded at Ballerina Studios in Umeå, “The Hidden Realm” was produced by the band and mixed by Marcus Jidell, with mastering by CJ Grimmark. All eleven tracks were co-written by Andreas Stoltz, Emil Holmqvist, Per-Olov Jonsson, and Anders Hedman—solidifying a cohesive vision for a band that’s as relentless in its craft as it is in its message.
