Single Review: Crucible “Deathdealer”

2–3 minutes

CRUCIBLE unleash their new single “Deathdealer” on May 2, 2025. Inspired by Frank Frazetta’s iconic artwork, the track was recorded and produced by Marco Angioni (Tygers of Pan Tang, Steel Inferno, Meridian) at Angioni Studios.

“Deathdealer” is part of a forthcoming collection of new material, with a full-length release to be announced soon.

Crucible is a high-voltage speed metal band hailing from Denmark, forged in 2022 and already making serious waves in the underground scene. Blending themes of metal, war, and sword-and-sorcery with blistering riffs and breakneck tempos, their sound is a ferocious throwback to classic aggression—raw, loud, and unapologetic. Currently signed to From the Vaults, Crucible dropped their debut demo The Savage Weapon in 2024, a release that’s already torching speakers and turning heads. Review:

Ok so let us did into this short track coming in at just under three minutes in length! Straight away your speakers leak energy coming from a razor sharp riff attack that could tear anything apart. The cymbal hits emphasise this almighty force before we are pulled into a tornado of lightning speed thrash drums and a continuous riff barrage from Jon and Thomas. Everything feels like it has been injected with a huge dose of pure adrenaline. If you love to mosh and break a sweat at shows then this will certainly help you achieve that.

This track is just a proper frenzy of face melting metal and the vocal delivery from Phillip Butler perfectly matches the fire and intensity that this song radiates. The rhythm section made up of Ole and Kenneth are locked in so tight that they could hit their target with super precision every time with each beat and bass twang! The riffs chop and change throughout never making anything dull and the solo is just explosive as hell!

Conclusion:

Crucible have managed to literally obliterate my speakers in record time (note to self: get insurance next time). This track is an absolute riot—perfect for anyone who thrives on chaos, from mosh pit veterans to headbangers who leave it all on the floor. It’s a relentless onslaught of high-octane riffs, crushing drum patterns, bass that could register on the Richter scale, and vocals so ferocious they might just shatter windows. If this is a taste of what’s to come, I seriously can’t wait for the album.
