It’s been some time since Don’t Spare the Wicked which was the bands last release, and since then, Fili Bibiano—the driving force behind Fortress—has been pouring his energy into his other project, Intranced. The band features powerhouse vocalist James-Paul Luna, formerly of White Wizzard and Holy Grail as well as Nico Staub and Ben Richardson.
Behind the scenes, however, Fili has been far more active with Fortress than many might have realized. In fact, the next Fortress album is already complete, featuring some fresh additions to the lineup. Recently, the guitarist has been teasing fans online with sneak peeks, offering a taste of what’s to come.

Next up it was mentioned that the band has gone a through a bit of a line up change for the new record! So far the bands new front man and drummer have been revealed.
Introducing Juan as our vocalist for our new album.
Juan and fili have a history of making music together. Usually one offs, personal projects that never saw the light of day. Juan was excited to see how it would be working with fili once again after 5-6 years. The greatest challenge was relearning how to sing after being dormant so long musically. “I’m looking forward to continue this musical journey and with more experience, improve overall. In addition to singing, I also play guitar and write music. It’s exciting to think about what music will come from collaborating with the rest of the band.” -Fortress
Introducing JOSEPH as our drummer for the new album.
Some words by Joseph: “I knew of Fortress via Aldo. My last band “TÔR” had initially jammed with him, and that’s how I learned of not only the band, but that Aldo’s brother (Fili) had started Fortress.
Fast forward a few years, and I was without a band. Tons of flaky musicians later, I reached out to Fili about jamming. We clicked pretty instantaneously, having a lot of shared influences. Before my joining of the band, Fili and myself released single with an amalgamation of different musicians from various bands. The project was “Gravesword”; A sort of proto-power metal band, so to speak. Shortly after, he was in need of a drummer for “Fortress”, and asked me (five days before) to record the album. And the rest is history.” – Fortress
