Riding was born in Mexico City in early 2016, founded by Uriel Aguilar and David Sandoval. By December of the same year, they began recording their debut full-length album, “On The Road”, with Uriel Aguilar handling vocals and David Sandoval taking on both guitars and drums. This album captured the essence of Traditional Heavy Metal, reviving the classic ’80s sound with eight songs in English and two in Spanish. Their influences include Judas Priest, Loudness, Dio, Praying Mantis, Iron Maiden, and more.

Following the release of On The Road, Riding’s music reached audiences worldwide, gaining recognition in Italy, Japan, Spain, Brazil, Colombia, the U.S., Chile, and Paraguay.

In 2022, Riding released their second full-length album, “Masters of the Universe”, featuring Uriel Aguilar on vocals, David Sandoval on lead and rhythm guitars, Luis Torres on bass, and André Vázquez on drums. That same year, they performed outside of Mexico for the first time in Bogotá, Colombia, at the “Voice of the Cult” event, sharing the stage with Nightprowler (Ecuador) and Lucifer’s Hammer (Chile). They also took part in the “12 Tons of Metal” compilation and later performed at the “Keepers of the Flame” festival, alongside Medieval Steel, Nasty Savage, Destructor, Savage Grace, Helstar, and Acero Letal.

In 2024, Riding expanded their reach with a series of national and international concerts, including “Old School Metal,” where they opened for NWOBHM legends Raven for the second time. They also continued promoting Masters of the Universe through a collaboration with Japanese label “Rock Stakk Records” (Osaka, Japan). In July 2024, they released a new single, “Polvos de Medianoche,” giving fans a taste of their next album, along with the band’s first official music video.

Now, in 2025, Riding is in the studio, progressively releasing new songs ahead of their third album. They are also competing in the Battle of the Bands in Mexico for a chance to perform at Wacken Open Air 2025 in Germany. Additionally, they will be returning to Colombia to promote their latest releases and further solidify their presence in the Latin American metal scene.
