Highways is a heavy metal band from Lincoln, Nebraska, founded in 2020 by Joe Coleman, known for his work with Cobras and Gallows Majesty. Originally conceived as a songwriting project, the band quickly evolved into an international collaboration, bringing together musicians from around the world, including Carlos Molina from Osorno, Chile, Oleh Andrievsky from Kyiv, Ukraine, Marvin Masok from Lagos State, Nigeria, and Vinay Ramakrishnan from Chennai, India. Rooted in traditional heavy metal, their music explores themes of society, science fiction, and film. Signed to Stormspell Records, Highways has released three full-length albums: Texas Is Coming for You in 2021, Breaking the Code in 2022, and Never Die in 2024.
