Force Majeure marked the beginning of Doro Pesch’s remarkable journey as a trailblazer in the hard rock and heavy metal world, establishing her as an iconic figure in the genre.

Before her solo career took off, Doro had already made her mark as the frontwoman of Warlock, an internationally successful band. She broke barriers by becoming the first woman to perform at the legendary Monsters of Rock festival in 1986, followed by a major tour with Judas Priest.

Over the years, Doro has earned countless accolades, including induction into the “Hall of Heavy Metal History” in the United States, where she also received the “Metal Goddess Legend Award” in Las Vegas. In the UK, she was honored with the “Legend” and “Angel of Rock” awards, while in her home country of Germany, she was celebrated with an “Echo” award and multiple lifetime achievement honors.

Adding to her list of achievements, Doro recently received a gold award for selling over 250,000 copies of Force Majeure. The presentation took place at Universal Music’s German office in Berlin, where she was joined by former Phonogram executives Louis and Bettina Spillmann, her manager Holger Koch (Flying Dolphin Entertainment), social media manager Jan Jaedike, and the Universal Catalog Domestic team.

With a career spanning four decades, Doro has performed over 3,500 concerts in more than 60 countries and sold over 10 million records. She has collaborated with legendary artists like Gene Simmons (KISS), Lemmy Kilmister (Motörhead), Slash (Guns N’ Roses), Peter Steele (Type O Negative), and Rob Halford (Judas Priest).
