The new year kicks off with a triple dose of excitement from cult metal heavyweights TOWER: a bold new single, an upcoming European tour, and the announcement of their next album—all arriving in quick succession!
After a whirlwind of relentless touring following their 2021 release, Shock To The System, TOWER took a brief pause to channel their energy into the studio. From October to December 2024, they teamed up with renowned producer and engineer Arthur Rizk (known for his work with BLOOD INCANTATION, CAVALERA, and KING DIAMOND) to craft their latest opus, Let There Be Dark. The highly anticipated album is set to drop this spring via Cruz Del Sur Music.
Reflecting the ominous tone of the modern world, Let There Be Dark ventures into darker, more atmospheric territory. The lead single, “Under The Chapel,” sets the stage with its eerie melodies, unraveling into a chilling and surreal journey that lingers long after the final note.
“The song’s lyrics and melody were inspired by a Yiddish lullaby my grandmother would sing to me as a child,” says frontwoman Sarabeth Linden. “It always felt extremely haunting. It was really cool to use that as inspiration and also pay homage to my grandmother and my heritage.”

On February 21st, TOWER will unleash their Under The Chapel 7-inch vinyl, featuring the crushing B-side “Iron Clad” and a gripping music video. This release coincides with their return to the stage for a select run of European shows, where fans can experience the new tracks live alongside some of the band’s classic crowd-pleasers.
It’s been four years since Shock To The System, and TOWER’s evolution is impossible to ignore on Let There Be Dark. This latest chapter showcases their sharpened sound and unrelenting drive, proving the band’s journey has only made them stronger.
“These years have hardened and matured us if nothing else,” says guitarist James Danzo. “I hear less rock ‘n roll influence in our music now. We went from straddling the fence between rock and metal to landing squarely on the metal side.”
“I agree with James with how we’ve grown and matured as a band,” adds Linden. “However, rock n roll is here to stay! And the rock definitely still influences our music, at least lyrically and melodically speaking. I believe we’ve gained more confidence, especially when it comes to taking more risks in songwriting and recording in the studio.”
“We’ve pushed ourselves in new directions and we have a greater understanding of what makes a TOWER song and album,” closes guitarist Zak Penley. “We are allowing ourselves to be faster and also slower at times, introducing some embellishments in the process to really get the mood we are going for.”
