CHRISTIAN MISTRESS – DEAL WITH CRUZ DEL SUR MUSIC – NEW ALBUM IN EARLY 2025

Cruz Del Sur Music is excited to welcome cult Northwest metal band CHRISTIAN MISTRESS to its roster. The label will release the band’s highly anticipated fourth album in early 2025.

The connection between Cruz Del Sur and CHRISTIAN MISTRESS stretches back to 2015, when the band was on tour in Italy promoting their album To Your Death. Mutual admiration was there, but a self-imposed hiatus in 2016, followed by the global pandemic, delayed further progress. However, CHRISTIAN MISTRESS made a resounding comeback at the 2023 Hell’s Heroes festival, reigniting their passion and paving the way for their new album.

Since forming in 2008, CHRISTIAN MISTRESS quickly gained a following, releasing a self-titled demo and the Mother Of Mercy/The Hereafter single in 2009, which led to their debut album Agony & Opium in 2010 through 20 Buck Spin. They then signed with Relapse Records to release Possession in 2012, followed by To Your Death in 2015.

Now, as a four-piece featuring vocalist Christine Davis, guitarist Tim Diedrich, drummer Reuben Storey, and guitarist/bassist Jonny Wulf, the band is recording their latest album at High Command Studio in Olympia, Washington. It’s the same basement studio where they recorded their previous three albums, with engineer Captain Tripsballsington at the helm.

“We’re back in the basement, and it just feels right,” says Storey. “Tracking wraps in October, and it’s everything we’ve always been: authentic, raw, and honest. It’s a live band in a room, hashing it out with amps, Tascams, pens, and paper. This new album picks up where To Your Death left off, with more heavy metal energy and fresh stories to tell.”
