We recently caught up with Long Beaches Grave Danger to find out a little bit about the band! Here is what they had to say!

TheNwothm: Hey there Grave Danger I hope you are well! Can you introduce the members of the band and where you are from?

G.D: Dominic is originally from The bay area in northern California; he was the leader of a thrash Metal, band called Oxidation, Ivan is from LA and left his old band Hazard,in  2016 he approached Dominic to join GraveDanger, and Ceser is from LA and was the Drummer for Death Metal, band Madrost

TheNwothm: You formed all the way back in 2013, so how did you guys get together?

G.D: Dominic formed the band in 2013 with different members that he found through networking in the metal scene. 

TheNwothm: And tell us how did you choose the band name! 

G.D: I’ve always loved that expression, GraveDanger, because it has a double meaning.I often hear it said in movies and Tv shows

TheNwothm: You guys are from Long Beach in California! So tell us what it is like there both musically and in generally? Does it have a good metal scene?

G.D: Long Beach has a “ok” Metal scene there is not a lot of NWOBHM bands.

TheNwothm: What does heavy metal mean to you? For many it is there life!

G.D: I have a passion for Heavy Metal!

TheNwothm: Looking back to when you were younger was there any musicians or bands you idolised and your influences still the same to you?

G.D: We have endless influences, but some of our main influences are Crimson Glory, Grim Reaper, Agent steel, H bomb, iron maiden, Judas priest, Sceamer, Phantom, Toxik, Riot, ETC Underground heavy metal, and power metal

TheNwothm: Do your influences also inspire your look which is a mix of studs, chains and leather among other things?

G.D: Yes we love the leather spikes and studs look.We like that armored saint, look shoulder armor and spikes Medieval meets post-apocalyptic style

TheNwothm: Do any of the band own any battle jackets and if so who has the best one?

G.D: Yes, lead singer Dominic,Has a battle jacket he made way back in 2008 

TheNwothm: Tell our readers about your collection of guitars! What do you have in your collection and is there a prized one?

G.D: All of my guitars are custom-built by myself and I would say they are reverse-engineered. my favorite guitars are the Kramer style with reversed banana headstock  HS with the angel on the single coil route for a real vintage shredder look plus Floyd Rose.

TheNwothm: When you look back to the early days of the band how do you feel that your music has evolved since then?

G.D: YES i feel it has evolved, but people like catchy Songs so we have been working on simplifying our writing style but also keeping our style and catchiness, and it has been working good we are unforgettable, i would say

TheNwothm: Tell our readers about yourselves! What are your hobbies and interests?

G.D: Hobbies are music of course. Working out lifting weights Video Games computers, and recording music Building guitars etc

TheNwothm: Tell us about the compilation “Chaos Force – Rite Heavy Metal vol.1″you appeared on? How did that come about?

G.D: The record label approached us and asked that we take part on the compilation, so we did we are a part of another label called black writts records, from Sweden

TheNwothm: Your first full length album (that shares the same name with the first demo “We’re All In Grave Danger”) came out in 2021! What made you decide to revisit the songs of the demo with the addition of new tracks? 

G.D: I like all of them i do not have a favorite; We’re in GraveDanger, is the track i like to play most live because it really gets the crowd going

TheNwothm: Can you give us a rundown of the songs on the album and your favourites?

TheNwothm: And can you tell us about the artwork? Who made it for you?

G.D: My friend, Conner, made the artwork. 

TheNwothm: What are your touring plans for 2024?

G.D: We are trying to book a tour through norcal and Portland, Oregon. There has also been talk of us heading to Texas. 

TheNwothm: And do you intend on releasing any new music?

G.D: Yes we are going to release new music we try to release a new single every year.we have been releasing a lot of Music videos
