Interestingly this project was brought to my attention by the one and only Jo of Ice War. In conversation, he told me that he joined the band in the summer of 2022 to record this 3 track EP. Jo is the main man on vocals and guitars with Jaume on bass duties and Julien on drums. The whole thing was recorded live (with overdubs) in August 2022 by Jaume at the Doomsday Bunker in Barcelona! I was instantly curious and after listening, I can safely say I was not disappointed!

Tallying in at just over 9 minutes the three tracks that make up this EP are all killer no filler! We start with the song “Damned in Hell.” With a massive intro of cymbal crashes and open chords followed by some guitar squeals and a metal scream, it doesn’t take long before it takes off at top speed. This is four minutes metal madness that seem to not let anything get in its way! Strong present heavy metal twinged with punky vibes and it is a great mixture.

Iron Hand has a menacing intro that is deceptive! Thinking we are going to be rocking hard at a mid tempo pace. But that is not the case as once again we are thrown into a frenzy. Iron Hand is short in length but delivers pummelling thrash drumming and ripping rips. When i heard the driving riff i instantly thought of Motorhead for some reason. Nether the less, the end of the song returns to that mid tempo pace to take us with that evil riff once again.

You’re No Exception (Dead Wretched) is the third and final track and once again is another 2. 30 seconds of moshing and head banging delight. This is probably the most punk out of the three tracks and is ballsy straight to the point!

Conclusion Strongs EP is short, sweet and to the point. If you want something killer to mosh, drink and go nuts then is certainly for you! An appetising blend of heavy metal and punk rolled in to one!
