PREVIEW: DESTRUCTOR (USA) “BLOOD, BONE, AND FIRE”

DESTRUCTOR (USA) is ready to release their highly anticipated 5^th studio album via SHADOW KINGDOM RECORDS. Titled “Blood, Bone, and Fire”, this will satisfy the legions of fans that have waited six years for new music from the band. The album is set to be released on November 24, 2023, and will be available on CD, vinyl LP, and cassette tape formats.

The current line up of the band is:

Tim Hammer – Bass

Mark Hellhoud – Guitar

Matt Flammable – Drums

Dave Overkill – Vocals and Guitar

The new album is said to be a “timeless slab of PURE METAL, taking in speed, metal, thrash, power metal, and traditional styles alike – in essence, the same as it’s always been for these enduring cult legends.” The track “Heroic Age” was made available for review. The track opens with a thick power metal double-axe lead, that shifts into a galloping metal riff. The vocals are strong and deliver lyrics tell a tale of another world where battles rage, dark magic looms, and heroic deeds are celebrated. There’s an epic solo in the middle of the tune that soars to the heavens. If the rest of the record is anything like this first tune, fans are in for a feast of metal!

Originally formed in 1984, the band began their career in Cleveland, OH. Though they have endured some lineup changes, their fan base has persisted over a nearly 40-year career in metal. Their formative years were spent playing shows with bands like Slayer, Megadeth, Anthrax, Nasty Savage, and many more. Their career has persisted in the time since and is now reborn with them being signed to SHADOW KINGDOM RECORDS in 2022.

This release is a fair warning to the world that DESTRUCTOR is ready for battle and isn’t slowing down. They are going to bring their epic brand of metal to their legions of fans, no matter where they are. As the release says, “Join the crusade or get crushed!” Are you ready? You better be!
