Contributor property: You agree that any contributions submitted to thenwothm.com that are published remain the property of you, the contributor. Once submitted and published on the site, the content cannot be published on any other platform. Links to the work of course may be published on social media with the goal of promotion and this practice is highly recommended.

Voluntary role: While the site encourages donations to help cover its costs, this is a voluntary position, and no monetary compensation will be provided to contributors in exchange for the content they submit. As much as I would like to offer compensation, it is simply not possible at this time.

The site is strictly against actions such as (but not limited to) homophobia, sexism, racism, the promotion of extreme political views, hate crimes, harassment, other forms of discriminatory behaviour, and bullying. If you are found to be using any of the topics stated above on the site or (outside of the site with relation to thenwothm.com) you will be let go as a contributor with immediate effect.

Upholding reputation: As a contributor to TheNwothm.com, you agree to protect and enhance the platform’s reputation. All promotion and discussion must remain positive, respectful, and constructive. Any conduct, whether comments or actions, that risks damaging the site’s image is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate removal from your role. This responsibility continues to apply even after you step down as a contributor.

Writer knowledge: You should have a basic understanding of how WordPress works and be able to format your content accordingly. As a contributor, you will have the ability to write and edit your own content. All submissions will be placed in a queue for review before publication to ensure quality and relevance. While grammatical, punctuation, and formatting errors are expected from time to time, your content will be checked prior to publication. To assist with this, training resources and templates are available, and it is advised that you review previous content to understand the correct formatting and style.

Timeframes for submissions: Writers must submit their work within the allocated time frame agreed upon. Due to the fast-paced nature of the music industry, timely submissions are crucial to ensure relevance and usability. For example, reviews of past events, such as those from the previous year, will not be used. Adhering to deadlines for specific releases and events is essential.

Confidentiality of music: Some content provided by labels for the sole purpose of review, such as unreleased music, may be confidential and watermarked. You are responsible for safeguarding all promotional materials. It is crucial that you do not share or use this content for anything other than creating your review. This is of utmost importance and must be strictly followed.

Communication: We use Slack for regular communication, which is essential to keep me updated on the progress of your content. If you have personal matters that need to be addressed or something else that stops your from completing ana assignment pleas let me know asap and it can be reassigned. Maintaining clear and consistent communication is crucial. Failure to do so may result in the termination of your role.
