REVIEW
Hailing from the majestic land of Kentucky, TREAZON are fresh off the heels of their 2023 demo release “Victim of Treason”, and return with their next demo single “On Fire”. The band were kind enough to reach out to us here at TheNWOHM to give us a sneak peek of the upcoming release.
As there is only one track, “On Fire”, we will begin with that one. Great charging drumwork that made me recall a mighty cavalry charge, and that’s soon followed by some really solid, if simple, riffage. The vocals sound amazing for something of demo-quality, which can always be 50/50. Speaking of which, the delivery of the vocals is very much rooted in New Wave of British Heavy Metal, making me think a bit on PRAYING MANTIS and ANGEL WITCH, but there’s a definite tinge of some glam influence there as well. Like the sort of mid-point between the two subgenres. Great little guitar solo too nearish to the 3 minute mark. The tempo and overall structure of the song is really solid, and I never found myself bored or looking for the end.

CONCLUSION
At only one song, this is a bit tough to rate, admittedly. But, I will say that I wholly enjoyed every aspect of this fun sampling of TREAZON! Obviously, it’s raw and unfinished, but it still feels complete in a very nice way. This was a fun little treat, and I’m eagerly awaiting any future TREAZON.
TheNWOTHM Score: 9/10
